ABOUT ARROWHEAD AREA SUMMER SCHOOL COOPERATIVE

The Arrowhead Area Summer School Cooperative is a collaborative organization offering summer classes for students who reside in the Lake Country, North Lake, Richmond, or Stone Bank school districts.  Non-district students may also enroll. 

REGISTRATION

Please register online by clicking the REGISTER link at the top of this page.  Classes are available for students entering 5K-8th grade.  Parents will be notified if a class is cancelled, and will be given the opportunity to schedule another class or receive a refund. Refunds are only given if a class is cancelled. Summer School coordinators reserve the right to switch class periods, and will notify parents of changes.  The system will charge a transaction fee.

DISTRICT VS NON-DISTRICT

There is no registration fee (just course fee) for students who reside in the following school districts: Lake Country, Richmond, North Lake, and Stone Bank. Students who have been open enrolled in these districts for more than one year do not pay a registration fee (just course fee).  If you are registering a non-district student or a student that has been open enrolled for less than 1 year, please note there is a $75.00 registration fee per class. If your residential address is located in the Lake Country, Richmond, North Lake, or Stone Bank School district, but your student attends another school you will not be charged the non-district registration fee. Fees are due at the time of registration.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Transportation

Bus transportation is available to and from three remote sites to North Lake School. See tab at the top of this page for bus

schedule. 

Car traffic will not be allowed in the bus area which is at the back of the building. Pick up at North Lake school is at the front entrance of the building.

Parents are asked to wait until the buses have come and gone from the remote sites. Please drop off/pick up children at the bus stops within a few minutes of the scheduled time listed. No supervision is provided at the bus stops. Good behavior is expected by students riding the buses.

Pick Up Information 

Please revise the back of students schedule on days when pick up plans change.

Supervision 

Summer School hours are from 7:50 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Supervision before and after these hours is not provided by Summer School staff. Please plan accordingly.

Insurance 

The school district does not provide hospital or medical coverage for students. Participants may obtain their own insurance. 

Exceptional Education Needs 

Parents/Guardians of students with special needs may wish to discuss the appropriateness of the Summer School classes with their child's special education teacher and/or the Summer School Coordinators. 

Medications

A student with life-threatening conditions (e.g., severe allergies, diabetes, asthma) may carry and administer certain emergency medications such as epinephrine auto-injectors (Epipens), glucagon, metered dose inhalers, or dry powder inhalers while at school with the written approval of the student’s parent/guardian and physician on the Medication Administration Parent Response Form.  This form can be obtained by contacting the health room at North Lake School - 262.966.2033.

 

Student shall carry Epipen and/or inhaler on self at all times unless approved by summer school administration.

 

Sunscreen 

Fun in the Sun classes and a few others are outside. Please apply sunscreen to your child before school. 

 

Snacks 

Summer School requires peanut-free snacks due to student allergies. 

 

Backpacks

Parents of 5K-4th grade students, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that your child carry a back pack for the purpose of bringing a snack, having your child’s schedule inside to assist with transitions, and for transporting projects to and from Summer School. All other students are encouraged to do the same.

 

Registration

Please register online by clicking the REGISTER NOW link at the bottom of this page.  Register students for the grade level they will be entering in the Fall of 2024. Classes are available for students entering 5K-8th grade.  Upon completion of registration, the system will email you a confirmation.  Student schedules will be sent home the last week of school.  Please send this schedule to Summer School with your child daily.  

 

Register early! Many classes fill quickly or could be cancelled due to low enrollment. Parents will be notified if a class is cancelled, and will be given the opportunity to schedule another class or receive a refund. Refunds are only given if a class is cancelled. Summer School coordinators reserve the right to switch class periods, and will notify parents of changes.

 

Fees

Course fees vary per class and can be viewed by clicking the REGISTER NOW link and selecting a class.  The system will charge a transaction fee.  If you are registering a non-district student or a student that has been open enrolled for less than 1 year, please note there is a $75.00 fee/class. Fees are due at the time of registration.  In-District students reside in Lake Country, Richmond, North Lake, or Stone Bank Schools and do not pay $75 fee/class.

 

Attendance

Please contact our attendance line if your child will be absent.  When leaving a message, state if your child will be tardy or absent and the reason... illness, appointment, personal, etc.  With respect for teacher planning, we strongly encourage regular attendance. No guests are permitted at Summer School.  Attendance is taken for State audit purposes.
