Art Explorers

Using a variety of materials and interesting hands-on techniques, students will explore the wide world of art. Artists of all abilities will have the opportunity to let their imaginations run free in an atmosphere that focuses on creativity and most of all fun!

Beginning Cooking

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 2nd-4th Grade in the Fall of 2024

Periods: 1

Class Fee $25

Join us as we explore delicious kid-friendly recipes as well as safe cooking skills. You will also create your own recipe book so you can continue to cook at home.

Beginning Piano

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 2nd-4th Grade in Fall of 2024

Period: 1

Class Fee $10

Calling all budding musicians! Come and learn how to play the piano in a fun and friendly group piano course setting. We’ll explore basic piano skills, such as how to sit at the piano, how to position your hand at the keyboard, and how to read simple music notation to play some beginner’s songs. We’ll do a variety of musical activities to learn about the keyboard, such as coloring, singing, interactive Smart Board activities, and of course, playing the piano!

Busy Bees

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 3rd-5th Grade in Fall of 2024

Explore the world of bees & build your own bee house to take home to help support bees. We’ll read, write, paint, draw, and build. This class is designed to keep your interest and keep you busy.

C is for Camping

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 1st-3rd Grade in Fall of 2024

Period: 1

Class Fee $20

Camp now, school later! Whether you have gone camping before or have always wanted to go in this class you will learn almost everything you need to know to have a fun and enjoyable camping trip. You will learn how to set up tents, different foods to cook (might even make some!), safety precautions and many more camping tips and tricks.

Elementary STEM Challenge

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 1st-3rd Grade in Fall of 2024

Period: 1

Class Fee $10

Are you ready for a challenge? You will be given a daily challenge to develop a plan, construct, test, and rethink your designs before the final challenge. We will use a variety of materials to build and create! The possibilities are endless!

Exploring Under the Sea

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 1st-3rd Grade in Fall of 2024

Period: 3

Class Fee $12.00

Dive in and explore the sea's mysteries through arts and crafts, books, games, and more!! Discover the amazing species of unique plants and animals that live in the ocean. Learn how humans have impacted our world’s waterways and how we can make a difference. Students will create booklets and brochures to keep track of all the new facts and information they learn about these unique species!

Everything is Awesome LEGOS

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 3rd-4th, 1st-3rd Grade in the Fall of 2024

Period: 2, 3

Class Fee $30

Everything is awesome when learning with Legos! Join this class for some hands-on building experience with the little bricks that everyone loves. You can follow the instructions or try out your own design with tons of pieces, accessories and parts. Students will learn teamwork and perseverance while building large sets in groups as well as spatial awareness. They will focus on counting and classification skills while searching for and organizing pieces. And no Kragle here! Building and rebuilding is encouraged! We can all be Master builders yet!

 

Fun in the Sun

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 2nd-4th Grade in the Fall of 2024

Class Fee $15

Enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities in Fun in the Sun. We will spend the majority of our time playing softball, kickball, capture the flag, tag games, and much more! Bring sunscreen and a water bottle and get your exercise playing fun games and soaking up the sun of the summer.

Games Challenge

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 3rd-5th Grade in the Fall of 2024

Period: 2

Class Fee $10

Games! In this class, students will discover game strategies using math, logic, and problem-solving skills all while having fun playing both new and old board games. Students will dive into economics while spending a week cruising around the Monopoly board. Sign up today and see how good your gaming skills really are!

Gym Game Galore

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 3rd-5th Grade in the Fall of 2024

Class Fee $8 

Games Galore offers students an awesome opportunity to participate in various indoor sports and activities. Activities and sports include the following: Pirate Ball, Floor Hockey, Kick Ball, Basketball, Dodgeball, Indoor Soccer, Matball, Handball, Capture the Flag, and Speedball.

 

Make it, Take it ART

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 1st-3rd Grade in the Fall of 2024

Periods: 1, 2, 3

Class Fee $20

Your young artist will be designing creative work while using a variety of materials. Students will use felt, beads, paper, foam, and much more to make art to show and possibly wear. Time to create and show off your artistic talents.

Ocean Life

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 1st-3rd Grade in the Fall of 2024

Period: 1

Class Fee $15

Is a whale shark a whale or a shark? Does echolocation really work like it does in Finding Dory? Are there really only 7 kinds of sea turtles? All these questions will be answered and more in Ocean Life! Dive into this class and learn all about the big blue ocean and it’s marine life! We will talk about the fish, mammals and many other animals that call this wet place home. We will even go into the deep dark abyss and see the crazy creatures there! We will also discuss how to help keep our oceans healthy and clean! Take a swim with us and have a splash of a good time in Ocean Life!

 Outdoor Field Sports

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 1st-3rd, 2nd-4th Grade in the Fall of 2024

Enjoy learning outside playing a vast array of games such as; Capture the Flag, Frisbee Golf, Whiffle Ball, Golf swing basics, Outdoor Basketball, football and more. On a rainy day, enjoy movies and a snack.

Outdoor Adventure Education

Embark on a journey of self-discovery and teamwork with our Outdoor Adventure Education summer school class. This dynamic and engaging program is designed to blend outdoor activities with the development of essential life skills. Through a combination of team building, cooperative games, and hands-on outdoor experiences, participants will cultivate resilience, leadership, and a deep connection with nature.

Storybook STEM

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 1st-3rd Grade in Fall of 2024

Let’s have fun combining favorite storybooks with STEM! Each day we will start with a new read aloud. We will become inspired by storybooks and help design solutions to problems faced by some of your favorite characters. Get ready to use tons of creativity and become young engineers!

Special Education Reading and Math

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 1st-4th Grade in Fall of 2024

Period: 3 

Class Fee $5

Students enrolled are recommended by their special education teacher. Small group instruction that targets IEP goals in reading and math is meant to maintain skills gained during the school year. Some support is available for general education classes.

Superhero Adventures

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 1st-3rd Grade in the Fall of 2024

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No… It’s kids having “out-of-this-world” fun at summer school!!! Do you like superheroes? Do you like to be creative? In this class you will develop your own superpowers and design your super costume! You and your super friends will create secret identities while studying a variety of popular superheroes. We will have tons of fun while strengthening reading and writing skills. Come join in the adventure!

Tech Time Out!

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 3rd-5th Grade in the Fall of 2024

Put your phones, computers, and games away as we take an adventure into a world without technology. Are you parents always telling you to find other things to do? This class can help with that! This class will focus on arts and crafts and puzzles. Things to do when you can’t have technology. We can make friendship bracelets, slime, scrapbooks or color by number. We will also spend time working on puzzles and logic problems to stimulate our brains. The activities chosen to complete will be determined by the wants of the students of this course.

The Curious Mathematician

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 3rd-5th Grade in the Fall of 2024

Do you like to play with numbers? Enjoy logic? Come up with your own solutions? In this collaborative class, you’ll put your skills to the test working together to solve non-routine math & logic problems with multiple pathways to solutions and challenge one another to strategy board games. (Challenging Course-Must be willing to work hard)

Yoga, Mindfulness, and Sunshine

GRADE LEVEL: Students entering 3rd-5th Grade in the Fall of 2024

Period: 1

Class Fee $22

Learn how to be a healthier you! Stretch your body, improve your balance, and have fun practicing yoga and mindfulness all in the sunshine! In this class, we will be learning new yoga poses, mindfulness basics, and spending time outside in the sunshine, all while building attention span, self-control, and compassion. Yoga mats will be provided and taken home at the end of the session.
